Marijuana Processor

Processor licensees are permitted to process, compound, or convert marijuana, either directly or indirectly by extraction from substances of natural origin (solventless), or independently by means of chemical synthesis (solvent-based), or by a combination of extraction and chemical synthesis. In the absence of a licensed testing facility in the CNMI, a processor applicant may choose to seek an endorsement from the Commission to allow for solventless extractions.

Applicants seeking a processor license must also include the proposed endorsements as part of the operating plan. Applicants must do this by filling out a Marijuana Processor Endorsement Application Supplementary Form. The supplemental form is required for all applicants seeking a processor license or any licensee seeking an additional endorsement type for an existing processor license. If additional product description space is required, also attach a completed Marijuana Processor Endorsement Product Description Supplementary Form(s).

Important: Pursuant to 4 CMC § 53021 (c), the Commission may not license any premise that is located within a distance of 500 feet from any church, hospital, medical clinic, public or private school building, daycare center, or youth center that is in existence at the time the license is issued.
